Rory will have been with us for 6 months in a couple of weeks time. The time has gone so quickly.
We are still having lots of fun together and I really enjoy that he loves to play with a ball and frisbee. Most of the time he even brings them back ! lol - Once in a while for some inexplicable reason when I throw the ball he just stands beside me and looks at it. I can't figure that out at all but I always feel a bit silly when I end up being the one who has to go and get it !
Our new favourite walk is down to the aerodrome. Lots and lots and lots of walking space there, and there are usually other dogs to play with too. There are also a lot of rabbits which I know he would love to chase, but I always tell him "leave it" and he does. I'm afraid of what might happen if he actually caught one ;) , which he might as he gets up to a really good speed when he runs. I do always take the whistle when I go on that walk so hopefully if he did take off after a rabbit he would come back to the whistle.
Our morning walk usually depends on the weather and it can be as short as to the paper shop and back, if its not such a nice day, or to the shop and then the park. If we get to the park at the right time there is a lovely golden lab there that he likes playing with. They are about the same age and both of them like a bit of rough and tumble.
He also had a chance to play with some kids the other day. A friend of mine came over with her granddaughter, who is 2, and Rory was very gentle with her. Later when we took them to the park there were some older kids who wanted to throw his ball for him, and he was very patient with them. It's all good that he gets these different experiences.
This is Rory and Amy. She lives in Dubai but her grandparents live next door to my mum and she wanted to spend some time with Rory when she was here visiting.
