More Rory

It's hard to believe that Rory has only been with us for 3.5 months.

In that short time he has certainly gained confidence in doing his work and we also have confidence in him.

He is still a Hearing Dog in Training, and has had another visit from the Placement Officer who said he didn't have any concerns that Rory would pass his final qualification. We are waiting word on when that will be, but we are hoping sometime between now and August.

We're still finding things out about him. Although he loves his food - he gets fed twice a day, morning and evening - he is not interested in carrots, apple, banana. He will take a piece of cheese and he loves ice cream !! He also likes to sleep ! At around 10pm he goes out for his last call and when he comes back inside he goes and stands at the bedroom door until I let him in and he snuggles down in his bed with his teddy lol - We leave the door open and he will still come and alert us if there are any sounds. In the morning he gets a good walk first thing, then home for his breakfast then ........... back to bed !! It's a dogs life. He does love his walks and time at the park and beach. He loves to chase a ball and catch a frisbee, sometimes not very gracefully but he does try :) - he's very playful and likes meeting up with doggy friends. He likes to sunbathe in the garden too, and is doing that very thing at the moment :)
