Celebrate !

Saturday night was Gordons surprise 50th birthday party.

We managed to keep the secret right until the last minute. Rory of course didn't breath a word !

The ruse to get Gordon there was that my sister and brother-in-law had invited us out for dinner.

The food, music and company were great and Rory was quite a star. As we have only had him for 3 weeks he had not met a lot of the people there. After all the meeting and greeting he was quite happy to lie quietly beside our table.

Unfortunately he wasn't allowed anything stronger than water to drink but he didn't seem to mind ! We made sure too that he wasn't given any titbits - that we know of anyway !!
People did notice that Rory didn't let Gordon out of his sight, he always seemed to have one eye on where he was. Towards the end of the evening when Gordon and I were dancing Rory got up and came and watched us from the edge of the dance floor lol - I don't think it was our dance moves he was interested in, he was more likely trying to say "is it not time to go home yet!?"

I was really proud of him that he was so well behaved. That was a big occasion for him with all the noise and people but he took it in his stride.
